Retrospective of Tetsuaki Nakao
The creator of Galaxy Glaze,
Ceramic artist Tetsuaki Nakao passed away in March of this year.
We would like to hold a retrospective exhibition to allow people to see the extraordinary works he has produced so far, along with his life story.
Long before he became a potter,
This is the story of a young man who aspired to be a scholar, but instead chose to work with clay, and passed through the unknown era before Galaxy Glaze, eventually coming to infuse his pottery with "galaxies."
And that dream continues to this day.

The continuation of the story of Gingayu
"Keep the fire burning"
The continuation of the Gingayu story was entrusted to Sten, his apprentice and son-in-law who came from the Netherlands, and his son, Masatoku.
The days of challenging ourselves to recreate the difficult-to-reproduce Galaxy Glaze crystals.
The fire at Gingayu Gyokuho Kiln continues to burn without extinguishing to this day.

Arita store open!

This shop has been closed for a long time, but it will open for one week only during the Pottery Fair! Map number 41 , near the Arita Tourist Association.
(Around 7am to 5pm)
The online pottery market is updated daily!

During the period, we will add new products little by little every day to our pottery market. You never know what products will be available or when. (Scheduled to be updated every day around 9:00)
Retrospective Exhibition - The Unknown Pre-Galaxy Glaze Era -

Tetsuaki Nakao's life began with the study of philosophy and social science. He then turned to ceramics and researched glazes that are considered historical masterpieces before he created Ginga-yu. Ginga-yu was a synthesis of all that he had studied.
Inherited Dreams, the Second Generation of Gingayu

The dream that Tetsuaki Nakao entrusted to Ginga glaze and the fire of Gyokumine kiln are now being kept burning by his two sons. Many pieces fired by them will be on display at this exhibition.
The galaxy we pursue, our current location.

To be honest, there aren't many pieces that we can proudly call Galaxy Glaze. It's not an easy journey. But we are steadily increasing the number of pieces that bear stars.
New cat series appears...!?
This year's logo is this! The main feature is Nelson, as always, sitting on a potter's stool as the director. There are also goods related to this...!?
This year's theme for Nelson goods is "embroidery."

Nelson goods will be available for a limited time only at the Pottery Market. This year, we plan to have a lot of Nelson embroidered goods! Look forward to it.
Get limited edition stickers and postcards!
The 2025 Tokiichi postcard features my eternal partner Tetsuaki Nakao and Nelson. And the sticker is this year's logo sticker.
